Allhorse is looking for entries to Ireland's Helping Hooves Award 2011. This new contest aims to exhibit some of the many horses, ponies and donkeys rescued by animal welfare charities in Ireland and presents an excellent opportunity to let these rescues shine. Your nominated equine can now help the charity that helped them by representing and highlighting their great work whilst being in with a chance to raise much needed funds as prize money will be donated to the winner's charity. The fund is already at a whopping €1,000 but Allhorse aim to increase this through further sponsorship and hope companies nationwide will offer their support in donating prize money or equestrian products suitable for these organisations.

In coming months, a preliminary online voting system will be hosted on the website where the public can choose their favourites to become finalists. To submit an entry please forward an email to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it including a photograph of your nominated rescued equine with a short story (less than 250 words) and/or video telling us why s/he is so special. All entries validated by the respective charity (within Rep. of Ireland or NI) will be published on the website at a later date when voting will commence. The deadline for entries is 28th February 2011.
